BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - A Castle Hayne man was sentenced in Brunswick County court Monday, July 1, in a methamphetamine trafficking case, according to the Office of District Attorney Jon David.

Per the release, 64-year-old Joseph Grizzle was sentenced to 70 months to 92 months (five years and 10 months to seven years and eight months) in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking methamphetamine. He was also ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.

Grizzle was “stopped by Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies for suspicion of driving while impaired and was found to have a warrant for his arrest in an unrelated case.
