Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has extended condolences to his Borno State counterpart, Governor Babagana Zulum over the tragic suicide bombings in Gwoza.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the Governor described the attacks, which claimed the lives of 18 innocent Nigerians and over 40 others injured as heart wrenching and deeply saddening.

He said “the reports of the attacks targeting a wedding ceremony , the subsequent funeral and a hospital are particularly destressing. Such senseless acts of  violence against individuals are not only direct assault on the families but also on the entire Borno State.”

The Governor prays for the souls of the departed to rest in peace, asking God Almighty to grant the affected families the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones and the injured quick recovery.
