The member representing Anambra East Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Obi Nweke has called on Anambra youths to shun all forms of social vices at all times.

Honourable Nweke who made the call while speaking to the ABS in Awka, described Anambra youths as very intelligent, smart and industrious, appealing to them to shun all forms of social vices in order to have a prosperous future.

The Lawmaker urged the youths in the State to key into all the youth friendly policies and programmes of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to be financially independent and as well, become self reliant.

According to Honourable Nweke who is a lawyer, the one youth two skills entrepreneurship programme of the Governor which has entered its second stage is a step in the right direction, as the first stage where five thousand youths were trained in various skills and were empowered with seed money was a huge success.

The Anambra lawmaker promised his constituents that he will continue to implement policies and programmes that would be beneficial to everybody in the local government, especially the youths of his constituency.

He cautioned youths to be wary of the friends they keep and called on parents to be more responsive in the business of child upbringing, lamenting the alarming cases of divorce and moral decadence in the society today.

Honourable Nweke commended Governor Soludo for his numerous developmental strides in all sectors of the state economy across Anambra, urging him to sustain the momentum, even as he called on Ndi Anambra East to take all the trainings and advice given to them by both the National Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Management Agency over this year’s potential flooding seriously for the good of everybody.
