In a tragic incident, at least three workers lost their lives when gelatin-sticks used for digging well exploded in the Shrigonda area of Ahmednagar district. The accident occurred around 8 am when the gelatin, intended for use in the excavation, exploded prematurely.

Speaking of the incident, the local authorities said, the explosion happened during the setting up of the gelatin for the well-digging process. However, it exploded prematurely killing three workers on the spot and left one critically injured. The injured worker has been rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

Meanwhile, local police have initiated an investigation into the incident to ensure accountability.
