A security guard in Texas, Percy Payne, resigned live on-air after his manager reprimanded him for speaking to local TV crews in uniform about being assaulted on duty.

During an interview with FOX 7 Austin, Payne’s manager confronted him about violating company policy, leading to a heated argument and Payne quitting on the spot.

Payne had been discussing surveillance footage he claims shows two men assaulting him at the parking garage he guards, as reported by TMZ.

During the on-air interview, the Texas security guard described an incident where two young men on electric scooters allegedly assaulted him at his job site, as captured on surveillance video.

His manager interrupted, blaming Payne for the altercation, which led to Payne quitting on the spot. Payne then completed the interview in street clothes.

Payne alleged that the men in the surveillance video attempted to steal his car, leading to a physical confrontation.

He also expressed frustration with the police response to the incident, which added to his dissatisfaction.
