Binduri MP donates over 1,000 mathematical sets to BECE candidates

The Member of Parliament for Binduri and Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development (LGDRD), Abdulai Abanga, has donated 1,024 mathematical sets to the Binduri District Directorate of Education.

These sets will be distributed to all 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in public and private schools within Binduri.

The donation was presented by Isaac Adeega, the Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Binduri, on behalf of the Member of Parliament.

The presentation took place during the finals of the 2024 Binduri JHS Science and Math Quiz on June 28, 2024.

During the presentation, Mr. Adeega highlighted the MP's commitment to education in the district and encouraged students to strive for excellence in their studies.

"Hon. Abdulai Abanga is passionate about education, especially for the young ones in Binduri. His support for education in Binduri is remarkable. Today, he is here to present over 1,000 mathematical sets to the BECE candidates," said Mr. Adeega.

The Binduri District Director of Education, John Soka Jaggrey, thanked the Binduri lawmaker for his ongoing commitment to improving education in the district.

He promised to ensure the swift distribution of the mathematical sets to the final-year JHS students to aid them during their BECE exams.

The annual initiative by the MP aims to foster academic excellence in the Binduri District and empower students to achieve greater academic success.

The 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) will commence on Monday, July 8, 2024, and continue through Friday, July 12, 2024.
