Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson were separated during their first encounter due to their disruptive behaviour at a “very, very intense” Hollywood games night.

The pair met six years ago in Los Angeles, where the 32-year-old model and actress found herself drawn to the ‘Lighthouse’ actor. They bonded over the “absurdity” of the evening while playing a game of ‘Werewolf’, she revealed in an interview with Vogue magazine.

She reminisced: “I was sure that I’d met him a long time ago, but he didn’t think that we had… It was very, very intense. There were lots of ‘big’ characters, real heavy hitters.” Among the attendees were Al Pacino, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz, adding to the intensity of the evening.

Waterhouse admitted that they both felt slightly uncomfortable, which led to them giggling at the absurdity of the whole situation. Their laughter became so disruptive that they were reprimanded.

She said: “There was a director that separated us because we were laughing too much.”

Despite not exchanging numbers or seeing each other for “six or seven months”, Waterhouse knew that something had sparked between them that night. She remembered thinking: “I think Rob’s quite funny, I light up when I’m around him.”

She also confessed that living in LA “definitely became a lot more fun when I met him”. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in March and are looking forward to bringing “more chaos” into their lives.

Suki revealed: “We really planned it. One day we looked at each other and said, ‘Well, this is as ready as we’re going to be.'”

“I was like, ‘What can make more chaos?'” The star of ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ knew the gender of her baby before giving birth.

She confessed: “I wish I hadn’t wanted to find out, but I needed to prepare myself mentally.” The moment she found out she was having a girl, the ‘Supersad’ singer rang her “mum in floods of tears”.

She remembered: “”I was like, ‘Oh, my God, am I going to have to go through what [you] went through with me?'”

“I was just such a little b****. [My mum] usually loves telling my terrible teenage stories, but she was like, ‘No, no, you were great. You were amazing, you were fine.’ “. Suki adores watching Robert with their daughter.

She enthused: “He was there with me [for the birth] and like all dads, he was really nervous, but for someone who’s quite an anxious person, he’s been very calm.”

“[He is] the dad I could have hoped for. I mean a dad and his daughter? It’s an actual love story.”
