INLD leader Abhay Chautala said that the poll alliance between both parties have been finalised
The INLD and BSP have entered into a poll alliance for the upcoming assembly polls scheduled in October this year, the INLD leaders claimed Sunday.
A day after meeting BSP supremo Mayawati in Lucknow, INLD senior leader Abhay Singh Chautala said that the poll alliance between both parties have been finalised and a formal announcement would be made in Chandigarh by the leaders of both parties on July 11.
“This would be a mahagathbandhan in Haryana as more parties would be included in the newly formed alliance,” he said. This would be the third time when the BSP and the INLD have entered into a poll alliance in Haryana.
In April 2018 too, both parties had formed a poll alliance but could not continue after the dismissal performance of the INLD candidate in the Jind assembly poll in January 2019.
During 1998 Lok Sabha polls, the INLD had contested seven Lok Sabha seats while leaving three seats for its alliance partner BSP.
