Burna Boy, Nigeria’s Grammy Award-winning musician has once again proven his global appeal by selling out the 80,000-capacity London Stadium in the United Kingdom.

The self-acclaimed ‘Afrofusion’ artist delivered another electrifying performance at West Ham United’s home ground, thrilling thousands of London-based fans for the second year in a row.

As the I Told Them Tour dominated the social media trends charts last night, ODG (Odogwu, for short) further proved his influence by bringing out both Nigerian and foreign superstars who performed their own tracks or their features with Burna Boy.

DJ Lambo welcomed the fans at the London Stadium with his iconic set and entertained them with the trending music. The concert then kicked off with a comedic set by Nigerian skit maker Sabinus, setting a lively tone for the evening.

Burna Boy then took the stage and appreciated fans for turning out before bringing Malian singer Salif Keita out for a special performance. He was further joined on stage by an array of Nigerian music stars, including Omah Lay who performed his hit track, “Holy Ghost Fire”, Phyno, Shallipopi who performed “Elon Musk”, Odumodublvck with “Cast”, Seyi Vibez who performed “Giza” with Burna boy and the duo of BNXN and Pheelz with “Finesse”.

Adding to the international flavor of the night was Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra, who performed as a special guest.

Burna Boy kept the attendees engaged with his control and performed a selection of his biggest hits including “City Boys,” “On Form,” and “Last Last,” as the enthusiastic crowd sang along.

Burna Boy’s winning run continues

This performance marks another milestone for Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu. He made history in 2023 by becoming the first African artist to headline a solo concert at the London Stadium and last night’s performance further established his pedigree as a ‘performer’

His rise to fame began with the release of “Like to Party,” the lead single from his debut album “L.I.F.E” in 2013. In 2021, he cemented his status as a global superstar when his fifth album, “Twice As Tall,” won the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album.

Burna Boy’s influence and success continue to grow, with record-breaking performances at major venues worldwide. In April, he was recognized as the African artist with the highest revenue from a single concert. This comes as no surprise as every concert he headlines is an experience, even if it is not always the best one.
