Ben Mendelsohn to Return in Andor Season 2 Reprising His Rogue One Role
The highly anticipated Star Wars series, Andor, is set to introduce a major character from the film Rogue One into its second season.
The Playlist reported that Ben Mendelsohn, who played Director Orson Krennic in Rogue One, will reprise his role for the second season of Andor. This news comes unexpectedly, as previous comments from Mendelsohn suggested otherwise. Alongside this, star Diego Luna has hinted at the return of significant characters from Rogue One.

In Rogue One, Krennic oversees the construction and testing of the Death Star. The end of Andor season one saw the Death Star being constructed, making Krennic’s return a logical progression.
Andor was first announced in December 2020. Created by Tony Gilroy (The Bourne Identity), it serves as a prequel to Rogue One and delves into the inception of the rebellion against the Empire.
