The Special Adviser on Multimedia and Conception to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Nda Aaron has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the Mayegun of Yagba Land , Chief Dare Olatunde as Governing Board member Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda , Zamfara State.
In a statement issued to journalists on Monday, Hon. Aaron described the appointment of Chief Olatunde as well deserved in view of his contribution to the people of Kogi State and Nigeria in general.
According to the Special Adviser, with the wealth of experience of Chief Olatunde in both the educational sector and beyond, he is confident that he will deliver on the mandate given to him by the President.
He thanked President Tinubu for always appointing people in his cabinet based merit, stressing that, the new board member of Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda , Zamfara State remains committed in serving the nation selflessly.
"This is an appointment well deserved from Tinubu political family, school of thoughts and philosophy in which Chief Mayegun belongs to and worked along with Presidential Campaign Council, (PCC) Secretary Rt. Hon James Faleke during the 2023 presidential electioneering campaign; whom likely may have influenced this reward system in the interest of President Tinubu political family.
"You could recalled that Chief Mayegun was the first Kogites and Okun son that brought President Tinubu down to his Village at Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area during the formation of defunct AC/ACN era, the record is still kept, and most likely,can never be broken.
"In another twilight, Chief Mayegun was among the critical pioneer and co-founder of Kogi State APC chapter. He was also a member of Kogi West Equity Forum for actualization of Yagba for Senate in 2015.
"He also backed Hon Sam Aro for Kogi West Senate seat , a forum which eventually aligned with Alhaji Yahaya Bello (AYB) for Governorship Primary still in 2015 for actualization of power shift.
"Moreso, his recent political feat between 2019-2023 was backing current Yagba Federal House of Representative Member,Hon Leke Abejide through unpopular political party in the state, the Action Democratic Congress, (ADC) by exploring his rich political network and infrastructure to mid road him into Yagba House of Representatives for a record first and second term tenure.
"As such, Chief Mayegun remains one of the most honest, brilliant ,sincere and strategic politician from Okun Land in Kogi West Senatorial District. Congratulations to the man who has made my coming to Abuja like Eddie Murphy epic movie "Coming to America" , adventurous, rewarding, elevating and successful"he stated.
He charged the new appointee to live up to expectations as he embark on his new assignment.
