Dorothy M. Ray Smith, a resident of Alexandria, LA and a native of White Caste, LA, she transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the age of 76. She was the daughter of the late Minor and Dorothy Ray. Religious services at England Park Baptist Church, 2520 Airbase Road, Alexandria, LA 71303 on Wednesday, July 3rd at 2:00 pm, Rev. Adgie Johnson. Services will continue on Friday, July 5th with visitation from 9-11am and religious services at 11:00, Asbury Independent Methodist Church, 31755 Laurel Ridge Road, White Castle, LA, Rev. Andrew Richardson, officiating, Interment in Asbury Church Cemetery. Dorothy (Dot) is survived by her husband of 57 years, Quintis M. Smith, Sr., one daughter, Yvette Smith Moultrie, Savannah, Georgia; two sons; Quintis M. (Erica) Smith, Jr. and Eric Wayne Smith, Alexandria, LA; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one brother, Minor (Katherine) Ray; three sisters, Joyce Ray, Marie (Milton) Bennett and Linda (Chris) Wessinger, all of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers-in-law, Joe (Patricia) Smith, Jr., Alfred Allen, and Ronnie Joe Smith; one uncle, R.C. Jones, one aunt, Lois Lyons Shropshire, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Ceola M.
