Nigerians have been assured of the Armed Forces and other security agencies’ determination to ensure peace and security reign across the nation.

The Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa gave the assurances when he visited Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Government House in Jos on Monday.

General Musa told journalists after the visit that Nigerians should synergise with the military in fighting insecurity by ensuring that criminals are exposed and reported to security agencies.

On his part, Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu on the directives to security agencies that peace must return to the state; a situation which has brought relative peace and normalcy in troubled areas of the state.

The CDS was accompanied by senior military officers from the Defence Headquarters alongside a General Officer Commanding Three Division of the  Nigerian Army and commander Operation Safe Haven.

The visit was to examine the progress made so far with security personnel in operational areas who are keeping peace in affected communities of the state and reassure the people of military commitment to safeguarding the nation.

As the military and other security agencies intensify efforts to ensure that peace and security reign across the nation; citizens’ cooperation and support will be the antidote needed to boost troops’ morale in the fight against insecurity.
