Entebbe DPC, Kenneth Muheirwe hands over Office after 2years of Service

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kenneth Muheirwe who has served for two years at Entebbe central police station has handed over to former Bunyangabu counterpart Stephen Twinomugisha, a senior superintendent of police.  

SSP Muheirwe has been transferred with a new role as the admin in the operations department in the Uganda police force, he has contributed to fighting gang threats in Entebbe especially robbery along golf lane, and Victoria Mall among others which had become insecure, especially to tourists and revelers in Entebbe.

Muheirwe has immensely contributed to fighting gang crime and domestic violence in Entebbe Through intelligence and empowering community policing systems 

Before he arrived in Entebbe to take over a command role, places like Golf Lane, Victoria Mall, manyago, and botanical gardens had become insecure especially to tourists in Entebbe, at least three to four cases were reported weekly with gang robbery by teenagers  

Muheirwe advocated for the good welfare of the police officers and during his time as commander, at least 120 police housing units are still under construction, kiss police face was uplifted including painting the main police station 

Entebbe had suffered from land grabbing especially under the protection of errant army officers in different areas, During muheirwe’s command reign as officer, he severally engaged his other sister security personnel never to allow any army deployments or be involved in land matters which he succeeded.

As he departs office, Entebbe residents still face minor challenges of land attributed to family conflicts, phone snatching especially around beaches among others
