concise.ng 2 days ago

The Katsina State Government, led by Governor Dikko Radda, has launched the distribution of 20 metric tons of subsidized fertilizers to farmers. This initiative aims to boost food production in the current farming season and marks the first time in nearly six years that local farmers in Katsina State will benefit from subsidized fertilizer.

The announcement was made by Isah Miqdad, the Senior Special Adviser to the governor on Digital Media, through a post on X. The distribution of these fertilizers at reduced prices is expected to significantly aid farmers in improving their crop yields and overall agricultural output.

This initiative is part of the state government’s broader efforts to support the agricultural sector and ensure food security. The subsidized fertilizers will help reduce the cost burden on farmers, enabling them to increase their productivity and contribute to the state’s economic growth.

Radda’s administration has been focused on revitalizing the agricultural sector, which is a key component of Katsina State’s economy. By making fertilizers more affordable, the government aims to empower farmers and enhance sustainable farming practices across the state.
