Nigerian singer, Davido and South African Disc Jockey, DJ Maphorisa, seem to have buried the hatchet since their last social media feud.

The duo were spotted together in some pictures posted by DJ Maphorisa on his Instagram page.

“We come a long way @davido, like 10 years. Cnt wait for them to hear our music”,

He captioned the photos.

Davido was just in time to seal the repaired friendship when he dropped some heart emojis as a comment on the Instagram post made by DJ Maphorisa.

This is a breath of fresh air for music fans, especially because Davido and DJ Maphorisa had quite a surprising social media fight back in 2022.

Recall that a fan, in 2022, alleged on X formerly known as Twitter, that Davido should be credited for making the Amapiano genre a global phenomenon in Africa and beyond.

However, DJ Maphorisa begged to differ, as he quickly opposed that notion by stating, in his words,

“Kabza and Maphorisa was the first to put Wizkid and Burnaboy on an Amapiano song three years ago (2019) which was Sponono. Research before you tweet”.

Things took quite a different turn when Davido replied to DJ Maphorisa with

“You’ve never liked me y? I’ve always been good to you. Anyways, awaaaayyyyy now!! Chu chu chu chu chu”, quoting some lines from his hit song with South Africa’s Focalistic.

Netizens have reacted excitedly to the news of their reconciliation and are anticipating the new project.

The duo are credited for the 2015 hit ‘The Sound’, alongside South African band, Uhuru and DJ Buckz.
