Well, cutting the curiosity short, we are talking about the Darling Prabhas. The actor is currently on cloud nine as his latest release Kalki 2898 AD has received a phenomenal response from the audience. The movie is getting positive reviews as well as the cash registers are ringing at the box office. As per the reports, Kalki 2898 AD made around Rs 191 crore on its opening day itself with worldwide business. It is Prabhas' third consecutive film to go past the mark. Before Kalki 2898 AD, it was Salaar Part 1: The Ceasefire that crossed the Rs 100 crore mark on the first day of release. It also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran. The official numbers state that it made Rs 178 crore worldwide. Before Salaar, it was Adipurush. The movie based on Indian mythology released in June 2023 and collected Rs 140 crore on first day. Thus, just in one year, clocked three films that made more than Rs 100 crore on first day at the box office.

Well, one cannot forget the heroics of Baahubali. The second instalment, Baahubali: The Conclusion, that released in 2017 was the first Indian film to cross the mark of Rs 100 crore on the first day of its release. Helmed by SS Rajamouli, it remains to be the second highest grossing Indian film after Dangal. After Baahubali, Prabhas hit the mark with his movie Saaho. Despite the bad reviews, the excitement around Saaho was so much that it made Rs 100 crore in no time. As he is fans' Darling, after all!
