A stay for two at a "lovely" hotel nestled in the Scottish Borders can currently be booked at a major discount.

At the moment, a one-night stay for two people at the Glen Hotel in Selkirk is available for £64 through voucher website Wowcher. This is a 57 per cent discount off the standard price of £144.

The hotel is the perfect spot for a romantic overnight escape, with Selkirk being home to a variety of scenic hikes, fascinating attractions, and cosy pubs. Highlights include the historic Bowhill House and its nearby walking trails and the tranquil Haining Loch walk.

Meanwhile, all of the rooms at the Glen Hotel are equipped with Wi-Fi, a flatscreen TV, plush cotton towels, and luxury cotton sheets. There is also the option to upgrade to a four-poster corner suite for an additional £20.
