Zahani Isaac Kuma, a Nigerian fashion entrepreneur known as Mr. Reliable, completed a 115-hour ironing marathon to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR).

Last week, the entrepreneur set out to beat the world record for the longest marathon ironing.

The activity was place in Abuja’s Jabi Lake Mall from April 23 to 28.

Mr. Reliable previously announced that his application to break the record was authorized in November last year.

During the term, the fashion designer welcomed a variety of artists, including Kuye Adegoke, a social media celebrity known as Egungun of Lagos.

Mr. Reliable aims to support children with academic obstacles.

Kuma revealed that as “an orphan I desire to see many children reach their full potential”.

“For five sleepless days and nights, I will be dedicating myself to resilience, endurance, and hard work with the utmost goal of raising a sum of money and supporting in my little way the educational challenges faced by many children within my locality through my profound NGO,” he wrote on Instagram.

“As an orphan at a very young age, my desire for education was vast; even though there was no one to aid me, I’ve persistently pushed my way through, and now I’ve taken it upon myself to aid as many children as possible to reach their full potential.

“This dream I believe can only be achievable when I have your full support.”

The fashion designer, who achieved the feat on Sunday, awaits confirmation from the GWR.

The longest marathon ironing is 100 hours. It was achieved by Gareth Sanders in the UK in 2015.
