Mohbad: With What I’m Seeing, Liam Isn’t My Grandson – Joseph Aloba Insists

Informationng 2 days ago

Joseph Aloba, the father of Mohbad, has once again voiced his doubts about the paternity of his grandson, Liam, the son of the late singer and his wife, Omowunmi.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the next day. On September 21, his body was exhumed by the police for an autopsy.

The late singer’s father has been outspoken in his calls for justice, urging the police to investigate Omowunmi and demanding a DNA test be carried out on Liam.

Aloba had refused to permit the reburial of Mohbad, highlighting the necessity of verifying Liam’s biological connection to him.

However, Omowunmi accused her father-in-law of evading the DNA test.

Aloba expressed suspicions regarding Liam’s paternity in an interview with Silverbird Television on Friday.

When asked if Liam looked like Mohbad, Aloba vehemently said “no”. “With what I’m seeing, he is not my grandson,” he said.

He also expressed his frustration that Omowunmi and her family have not brought Liam to him, “despite knowing my house address”.

“As a father, they know where I am living. Yes (They do not come to me). I do not want to speak about it now because the case is still in court,” he said.

“As a father, they are supposed to bring the child to me. Now, I demand DNA, they are supposed to say ‘Daddy go and do it at your convenient time’.

“It has become public now. Let the court speak to that. With what I’m seeing, he is not my grandson.”

Aloba stated that he would only recognise Liam as his grandson if the “DNA test says otherwise.”

Aloba’s concerns coincide with a recent clash between Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, and Fabiyi, who accused the singer’s brother, Adura, of knowing the cause of Mohbad’s death and asking for money in return for the information.
