Despite playing just 21 times in 2023-24 due to injury, Kevin De Bruyne has this season provided more assists than any player at any Premier League club.

The Belgian set up both Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland in Sunday’s crucial 2-0 Premier League win at Nottingham Forest.It is the 18th time he has had multiple assists in a Premier League game – the most of any player in the competition’s history.

That took him to 15 assists across all competitions this term, moving ahead of Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka on 14.He has amassed eight assists in just 14 Premier League appearances. A further five have come in four FA Cup games, one in the Champions League and one in the Community Shield.

The City midfielder has been the Premier League’s outstanding creative force since his arrival in 2015 – racking up a total of 114 assists in 257 games. He reached three figures in record quick time, a whopping 56 games faster than previous holder Cesc Fabregas.

The 32-year-old has won the Premier League’s Playmaker award three times, with no other player picking up the gong more than once.
