Manchester City star Kyle Walker and John Stones were both wowed by something one Arsenal player just did in training at Euro 2024.

Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Aaron Ramsdale are all part of the England squad that is currently in Germany, competing at Euro 2024.

It would be fair to say that the Three Lions have failed to truly sparkle in the competition so far. Whilst Gareth Southgate’s side have scraped through to the quarter-finals, where they will take on Switzerland on Saturday, his team’s performances have been uninspiring to say the least.

Mikel Arteta’s men have failed to produce their best, too. Rice has come under fire from the English media for his performances. Meanwhile, whilst many Arsenal fans feel that Saka has been one of England’s better players, he has not been able to produce the kind of match-winning displays that he is capable of.

Ramsdale is yet to play a minute of football in the European Championships, as he is serving as a back up to Jordan Pickford between the sticks.

Despite his lack of involvement on the pitch, the 26-year-old shot-stopper has still been able to impress his international teammates behind the scenes.

Kyle Walker and John Stones stunned by Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in England training

In a video recently posted to the official England YouTube channel, Manchester City defenders Kyle Walker and John Stones were seen observing the England goalkeeper contingent being put through their paces in training.

Spotting Ramsdale make a number of eye-catching stops, the outfield pair broke into enthusiastic applause, with Walker describing the Arsenal man as “a brick wall.”

Whilst the former Sheffield United man is unlikely to get any game time in Germany, he still has an important role to play in the squad. By pushing Pickford in training, and showing that he is a serious challenger for the No. 1 spot, he will keep the country’s first choice goalkeeper on his toes and at his best.

What next for Ramsdale at Arsenal?

Just as Ramsdale must satisfy himself with a back up role at international level, he has had to do the same at Arsenal since losing his starting berth at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya.

Whilst the England man did little to deserve his demotion with the Gunners, Raya has since proven himself to be a better tactical fit in Arteta’s side.

Ramsdale is now expected to leave Arsenal in this summer transfer window.
