England to tour Pakistan for three-Test series in October... with Ben Stokes' side set to play in the same three cities where they triumphed 3-0 in 2022
England will play Pakistan this autumn in the same three cities in which they completed an historic 3-0 whitewash two years ago.
Ben Stokes’ team begin their tour with the first Test in Multan on October 7 and then head to Karachi for the second starting on October 15 before the series wraps up in Rawalpindi from October 24.
In what is a packed winter schedule, England will have two teams on different continents during the final week of the month as the third Test overlaps with a white-ball tour of the Caribbean.
England’s series win in Pakistan in late 2022 was their most recent in Test cricket. Since then, draws with New Zealand away and Australia at home were followed by a 4-1 defeat in India.
‘Our last men’s Test tour of Pakistan produced some memorable matches and I’m sure fans can look forward to more exciting cricket across this forthcoming series,’ said ECB chief executive Richard Gould.
The three-matches form part of the 2023-25 World Test Championship - England are currently bottom of the table following the results in last year’s Ashes and on the subcontinent in early 2024.
England will return to Pakistan in the opening months of 2025, with the Champions Trophy dates set for February 19-March 9, but fixtures and venues yet to be confirmed.
