Age is but a number when it comes to America’s Got Talent, as nine-year-old contestant Pranysqa Mishra so powerfully proved to Heidi Klum and the rest of the judges’ panel on Tuesday night (July 2).

Once Mishra took the stage, Mishra told Klum and fellow judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, and Howie Mandel ahead of her audition that the first person she will call if all goes well is her grandmother.

“She always wanted me to be in this big stage and finally I’m here,” she shared.

As for some of her favorite artists, she name dropped Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner, the last of whom influenced her song choice: “River Deep Mountain High.”

Following a stunning performance, Mishra received a roaring round of applause from the audience, as well as standing ovations from Klum, Vergara, and Cowell.

“Oh my gosh. I did not expect that,” Klum gushed. “We expect a lot of things, but I did not expect that.”

After Mishra thanked her, Klum continued, “And do you know what I’m going to do now, because I honestly don’t want to hear what Howie, Simon, or Sofía has to say? I want you to call your grandmother and say that Heidi Klum pushed the Golden Buzzer for you.”

Mishra then covered her mouth as she broke down in tears, gold confetti showering the stage. Klum joined her on stage to give her a hug.

“How amazing are you?” Klum asked Mishra.

After Mishra’s mother, father, and little sister came out on stage, Klum said,” Incredible, I mean literally incredible.”

Klum also joined Mishra and her family for a FaceTime call to her grandmother backstage.

“She did really, really well, Grandma,” Klum said. “She got my Golden Buzzer.”

On the other line, her grandmother became visibly emotional after hearing the news, wiping away tears.

Klum’s enthusiasm for Mishra’s talent was echoed by Cowell, as cameras cut to him telling Vergara, “She actually is really, really good.”

Ahead of AGT‘s Season 19, Mandel spoke with DECIDER about what lies ahead for fans of the talent competition show.

“It sounds like I’m overhyping (which I’m not), but this season is funnier, more exciting, weirder than anything I have ever seen,” he explained. “I laughed harder in Season 19. I was more dismayed, more disgusted, more amazed than I have ever been with any one season of the show.”
