While it is true that poorly managed hypertension can cause some health issues, a properly managed hypertension usually does not cause any problem. Some of the diseases caused by long-term unmanaged high blood pressure include; heart problems, kidney damage, eye problems, brain issues as well as metabolic disorders like diabetes and obesity, which further increase the risk of complications.

Keeping blood pressure under control through a healthy lifestyle, such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, weight management, and medication if needed, is crucial. Uncontrolled high blood pressure can have severe consequences and increase the risk of various life-threatening conditions.

Early detection and proper management are essential to prevent or delay the progression of these diseases and maintain overall health and well-being.
