Why’s VDM Disrespecting Davido’s Wedding Guests?

ourdailygist.com 4 days ago

The biggest disrespect a newlywed couple can get is a guest coming to their wedding just to start some sh!t.

You know, it’s starting to seem like anytime Davido does something, a storm of controversial stories from his camp beclouds it.

Now Isreal DMW is trending for blocking his boss’s lawyer’s face in the wedding group photo and telling us why he did it.

While VDM is over there creating content fresh off the event and in his wedding clothes.

Not just any content, but a salacious one, using his supposed friend’s invitation card and video footages from his event.

One would think that ‘Chivido’ would be the focus of the occasion, but instead, in less than 48 hours, we’re witnessing a gutter fight between the groom’s besties and guests.

Is this the kind of controversy any newly married couple would welcome as highlights of their special day?

I would’ve said Davido deserves better, but it’s pretty obvious that clout-chasers draw a clout-chasing crowd.

All the mess springing up from his wedding comes with HIS territory.

A circle of people vying for clicks, likes and viral fame off of him.

Himself, just like most naija A-list celebrities, are in a desperate competition to break the internet, instead of letting their works and personality speak for themselves.

I mean, you’re one of the biggest names in Africa, right?

It wouldn’t be out of place if guests at the wedding were required to sign a nondisclosure agreement or forfeit their phones.

Oyibo A-listers do this.

They understand that fame-wh0*res are willing to carry ring light and make bizarre videos about every fly in the room.

So they try as much as possible to control the narrative. To ensure that the crowning glory of their special day are things they put out themselves. To keep their respect intact.

Actor, Chris Evans’ guests had to sign NDAs.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Afflect warned against low-flying drones and helicopters.

Till today we don’t know what Jay-Z and Beyonce’s wedding looked like, except that short grainy video clip they released.

Even our very own Simi and Adekunle ensured that we heard no word from the 300 guests at their wedding, until they released their wedding-themed music video.
Phones were banned.

Is Davido not established enough to g@g his guests?

But like I said, clout-chasers draw a clout-chasing crowd.
