While latest Star Wars show The Acolyte continues to impress Disney Plus users around the world, talk has already turned to its successors.

Currently riding high in the streaming giant's global top ten, The Acolyte delves into darker aspects of the franchise's mythology. It takes place during the final days of the High Republic era, roughly a century before the events of The Phantom Menace.

The series, created by Leslye Headland, explores a previously uncharted period in Star Wars lore, focusing on the emergence of dark side powers and the secrets of the Sith. It follows a former Padawan who reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, uncovering a sinister plot that challenges their understanding of the Force. An impressive 4.8 million viewers means the show is Disney's biggest of 2024 so far, but what comes next?

According to Variety, the next Star Wars show will be Season 2 of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures out in August, with a second batch pencilled in for 2025. Aimed at a younger audience, the show follows apprentices Kai, Lys, and Nubs as they travel the galaxy in search of honing their skills.

Later in the year we have Jude Law's hotly-anticipated Skeleton Crew. It is set in the same time frame as The Mandalorian, so post-Return of the Jedi. While details for this new Star Wars show are sketchy, it is believed the star and a team of young characters get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy after making a mysterious discovery.

And if that isn't enough, there's also rumoured to be a second series of Andor hitting the platform in 2025. Its star Diego Luna revealed earlier this year that filming on the show was almost done.
