Manchester United could join the race for Hull City winger Jaden Philogene, according to TEAMtalk.

The winger is one of a few Hull players who could attract plenty of interest in the coming weeks, with Acun Ilicali potentially needing to raise funds if he wants to give Tim Walter a sizeable budget to spend this summer.

Philogene, who only joined last summer from Aston Villa, could potentially be one player that goes in the coming weeks to generate a sizeable amount of revenue.

Likely to generate an eight-figure fee if he does leave the MKM Stadium, an exit for the player can't be ruled out, with the wide man's potential sale allowing the Tigers to address a number of areas.

However, he isn't the only player who could generate the Tigers a decent amount of money, with Jacob Greaves performing superbly last term.

The central defender has two years left on his contract and his side have the opportunity to extend that by a further year, the Championship club are in a strong negotiating position with Greaves.

Greaves wasn't the only player to impress during the 2023/24 campaign, with Philogene making a real impact from out wide.

He may have shown promise in the EFL in the past, but the winger has been able to take his game to a new level following his permanent switch to East Yorkshire.

Villa have the option to activate a £15m buy-back clause, but the Tigers could generate much more than that, with plenty of teams being linked with a move for the 22-year-old.

According to TEAMtalk, Man United have discussed Philogene as a potential option at Old Trafford.

The Premier League giants are yet to make a move for him at this stage and with this in mind, it doesn't look as though they are leading the race for the winger at this stage.

Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are two other interested sides that may not be leading this race, with Ipswich Town in advanced talks to get a deal over the line for the player.

He is thought to be valued between £18m-£20m, an amount that could allow the Tigers to spend a decent amount of money if he's sold.

United already have some wingers who could keep Philogene out of the starting lineup.

Marcus Rashford has endured a mixed time in recent years, but he's still an excellent first-team asset to have when in top form.

Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony are three other options, along with Jadon Sancho if he stays.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Sancho leave, which could open up a first-team spot for the Hull man, but guaranteed game time is required and United probably won't be able to offer him that.

The Red Devils have also unperformed in recent years and there has been no shortage of scrutiny of United, so Old Trafford may not be the best environment for the wide player to be in.
