APC Stalwart, 320 Loyalists Defect To PDP In Gombe

A stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State Comrade Sagir Shugaba alongside his 320 supporters, also members of the APC have defected to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Sagir who is the Sadaukin Pindiga emirate in Akko local government area of the state announced his defection on Tuesday.

He made the announcement of joining the PDP in Kashere ward, Akko local government area togather with his supporters.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Comrade Sagir Shugaba said they left the ruling party due to its failure to provide better living conditions for the people of Gombe state and Nigeria.

He added that poverty, insecurity, and hardship are the reasons they defected to PDP, “as the APC has not taken any steps to alleviate the suffering of the people”.
