Dog Days of Summer event: 6-9 p.m. at Jack Dalton Park. The Henry County Animal Shelter, Franklin County Humane Society Planned Pethood and Adoption Center, and Martinsville-Henry County SPCA will be hosting a dog adoption event. Food will be provided by Curlys’ Good Ol’ Eatin’, Bahama Sno-Shack, and Rocky Mount Smokehouse. There will be vendors, games for the kids and tons of adoptable dogs.
