Charley is this a joke? Nigerians mock Ghana for qualifying only 9 athletes headed to the Paris Olympic Games
The fans war between Nigeria and Ghana will not be ending anytime soon as Nigerians have found another reason to banter with their West African brothers after qualifying just nine athletes for the Paris Olympic Games.
In the list released by Ghana's Olympic Committee, the country will only be competing in Athletics and Swimming in Paris, having just nine athletes to don the country's colours in those events.
The athletes are:
Rose A. Yeboah - High Jump
Abdul R. Saminu - 200m
Benjamin Azamanti - 100m and 4x100m
Joseph Paul Amoah - 4x100m
Isaac Botsio - 4x100m
Fuseini Ibrahim - 4x100m
Edwin Gadayi - 4x100m
Joselle Mensah - 50m Freestyle Swimming
Harry Stacey - 100m Freestyle Swimming
Following this release, Nigerians took to X to mock their rivals for their low numbers despite having 20 million population.

Despite Ghana's low numbers, they have great chances of medalling in the women's high jump and men's 4x100m events.
