West Clifton Boulevard resident reports cash taken during burglary: Lakewood Police Blotter
LAKEWOOD, Ohio –
Burglary: W. Clifton Boulevard
A man called the police department at 6:31 p.m. on June 25 to report he returned to his apartment after being gone since 10 a.m. and believed someone had broken in. The caller reported $40, a tote bag, and his roommate’s shoes were missing.
Assault: Madison Avenue
A witness called the police department at 6:36 p.m. on June 22 to report five people were outside a Madison Avenue address yelling. The witness heard someone saying something about shooting up the place, but the witness did not see any weapons. Officers arrested a male suspect for aggravated menacing and assault, according to a police event report.
Theft: Detroit Avenue
Officers at 12:48 a.m. on June 24 responded to a call from a manager at Walgreens on Detroit at W. 117th Street about a shoplifting suspect. Officers arrested a male on charges of theft, drug paraphernalia, criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct while intoxicated, according to a police event report.

A Giant Eagle loss prevention officer at 11:26 a.m. on June 24 reported a man walked out of the grocery store with steaks and laundry detergent. Officers detained the suspect about a block away and arrested him on charges including misdemeanor theft, and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to a police event report.

An anonymous caller notified the police department at 10:43 p.m. on June 24 that a man was banging on an apartment door and then passed out on a porch. Officers arrested a male suspect for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

An officer at 11:15 p.m. on June 24 arrested a male driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on Madison Avenue near Brown Road.
OVI: W. 117th Street
An officer at 11:46 p.m. on June 25 arrested a male driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on W. 117th Street near Carbon Road.
OVI: McKinley Avenue
An anonymous male caller at 10:13 p.m. reported that a white SUV on the McKinley Avenue bridge struck something and had a fire inside. Construction workers put out the fire. Police arrested a female for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to a police event report.
