The Little Feet Foundation Ghana is readying for its first Youth Empowerment Summit in Bolgatanga, Upper East Regional capital.

Executive members of the organization recently featured on the Daybreak Upper East show to discuss the details of the programme, which aims at empowering children and youth across the region.

Established nine years ago, the foundation initially focused on providing essential school items to children to support their education. Over time, their initiatives expanded to include health screenings and socioeconomic development programs, such as training in liquid soap making, pastry making, and bead crafting.

Scheduled for August 3rd at the GNAT Hall, the summit aims to enlighten and empower youth about existing opportunities within the region and beyond, bringing on board mentors from diverse career fields to educate participants.

The event is particularly targeted at senior high school students and graduates, tertiary students, and youth in general, offering them insights and mentorship into various career paths and skills development opportunities.

Representatives from the organization, Sally Azoteyine and Judy Atambire, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to bridging the gap between available opportunities and the youth in the Upper East Region.

They highlighted the importance of bringing these opportunities closer to home to enable local youth to harness their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities and beyond.

Little Feet Foundation Ghana appealed for support from prospective collaborators who share their vision of empowering youth and fostering socioeconomic development in the region.
