Officials from the Vatican Embassy in Thailand, joined by numerous priests, male and female religious, and lay brothers and sisters, attended a thanksgiving mass at the Holy Redeemer Church in Bangkok on June 28.

The event not only celebrated the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul but also commemorated the 40th anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s visit to Thailand.

The mass included reflections on the lives of Saints Peter and Paul, emphasizing their demonstration that regardless of one’s socioeconomic background or personal hardships, everyone is regarded as equal within the Church.

The congregation was reminded that all are called to conversion, unity, and collaboration, reassured by the Christian belief that there is always a place for them in the Church.

This message encouraged all present to evangelize, inspired by Saint John Paul II’s directive: “Do not be afraid.”

The ceremony concluded with Archbishop Peter Bryan Wells conveying Pope Francis’ blessings to all attendees in honor of the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.

The prelate expressed that Saints Peter and Paul may continue to inspire Catholics to lead lives of courage, faith, and devotion to God, in adherence to His teachings, as exemplified by these revered saints.
