Wilfred Ndidi, the Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, has made clear his ambition to move to one of the top six Premier League clubs when the upcoming transfer window opens. The 27-year-old has had a resurgent season with the Foxes under the management of Enzo Maresca, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 34 appearances.

Ndidi, who signed a six-year contract with Leicester City in 2018, is nearing the end of his contract, which expires this summer. With no renewal talks yet between Leicester City and players like Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, it appears this might be their final season with the club.

Given his strong performances, interest in Ndidi’s signature has come from various clubs, including Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Sevilla, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, the player’s preference is to join one of the Premier League’s top six clubs; otherwise, he will consider moving abroad.

Reports indicate that Ndidi’s choice could be influenced by his desire to compete at a higher level and challenge for major honors. If a top-six Premier League club doesn’t express interest, he may explore opportunities elsewhere. His ability to perform well both defensively and offensively has made him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking a versatile midfielder.

Despite missing the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) due to a three-month injury, Ndidi has made a successful comeback, contributing to Leicester’s push for promotion to the Premier League. The Foxes, who are on the brink of securing automatic promotion, will face Preston North End at Deepdale this weekend.

With Leicester City preparing for their return to the Premier League, Ndidi’s next career move will be closely watched. A transfer to a top Premier League club could provide him with greater exposure and opportunities to compete at the highest level.
