NATEP seeks Hybrid, Physical opportunities for Nigerians abroad

The federal government says it is highly committed to promoting collaboration with genuine private partners to ensure Nigerians not only migrate properly but also earn decently when working abroad.

The FG said this through the office of the National Talent Export Programme during a three-day training for potential beneficiaries of opportunities in Germany.

The migration trend among young Nigerians, popularly known as “japa,” has often led to unfair and unjust treatment, particularly for those who migrate illegally and without documentation.

Over 300 eager participants converged at the Public Service Institute in Abuja to explore career opportunities in Germany.

The expo, organised by the National Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship and Partnership (NATEP) and GIZ, the German Corporation for International Cooperation, was themed “Possibilities and Requirements for Skilled Migration to Germany and Mastering Remote Work.”

The discussions provide valuable insights and guidance, encouraging Nigerian youths to stay optimistic and determined in their pursuit of goals both within and outside Nigeria.

NATEP emphasised its mission to bridge job gaps across borders, creating opportunities for unemployed Nigerians and freelancers to earn foreign income.

He revealed plans to expand job outsourcing to countries including Kuwait and San Francisco.

This initiative will promote bilateral relations and ensure proper documentation of Nigerian migrants, with the government committed to holding foreign agencies accountable when necessary.
