Subsequently, Akpan adjourned the case till Sept. 26 for the review of facts and judgment.

Earlier, Mr. Daniel Otunla, counsel to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Oyo State, said Mohammed was arrested by the agency’s operatives on April 8, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

According to him, the defendant was arrested in possession of two concealed parcels containing 2 kilogrammes of Cannabis sativa and 2.7 kilogrammes of methamphetamine, a psychotropic substance.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened provisions of Sections 11(C) and 19 of the NDLEA Act Cap 30, Laws of the Federation, 2004. (NAN)
