The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is holding a special event this Thursday, July 11th for candidates running for national offices in the upcoming 2024 NBA elections to present their manifestos and programmes to NBA members. Titled “2024 Election: Candidates’ Manifesto Day”, the event will take place at 11:00am at the NBA House in Garki, Abuja.

All candidates vying for NBA President, General Secretary, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Third Vice President and other national offices are invited by the Electoral Committee to share their visions, plans and priorities if elected to lead the association for the 2024-2026 term. This will give NBA members an opportunity to directly hear from the candidates and assess their agendas before casting their votes in the election.

The NBA, the largest professional association of lawyers in Africa with over 200,000 members, holds elections for its national offices every two years. The Candidates’ Manifesto Day is organized by the NBA Electoral Committee as part of efforts to promote transparency, accountability and participation in the electoral process.

The NBA 2024 elections are scheduled to be held electronically from July 20th 2024. The Candidates’ Manifesto Day kicks off the final leg of the campaigns leading up to the polls.
