AN urban explorer has stumbled across a jaw-dropping rare collection of cars hidden in an abandoned barn.

Colin Hodson, known online as the Bearded Explorer, was left stunned after discovering motors worth "in the millions" rotting away.

The YouTuber found the treasure trove of almost 40 rare classics, including an old F1 car, in an unlocked barn off the beaten track.

He said: "When I stepped inside, I was absolutely blown away with what I was looking at!

"Like the dreams I used to have of finding such a collection.. was now right in front of me!"

In an undisclosed location, overgrown with weed, Colin was shocked to come across one-of-a-kind Italian sports car.

The forsaken garage boasted an unparalleled Nardi Silver Ray, which was the first Italian supercar to be powered by an American V8 engine.

The one-off Silver Ray was commissioned by a Florida man in the 1950s and later purchased by a UK-based collector who seems to have forgotten about it.

Its low profile and extended front end sculpt the shape of a genuine grand tourer car with performance akin to the Ferrari 250 GT "Prototype EW."

"This is potentially one of the most valuable cars in here," the explorer said.

The deserted site, concealed by nettles, also included one of only two ever made Frazer Nash Continental.

The red beast is equipped with a front mounted BMW V8 which powers its rear wheels.

Built in 1956, the two-door coupe produced an impressive maximum speed of 125 miles per hour with a naturally aspirated 2.6 litre engine.

Colin also uncovered Aston Martins, Bentleys, BMWs, Mercedes and a highly-sought after Ferrari which together could be worth millions.

Colin added: "It's absolutely unreal. They are beautiful cars, every single one of them."

Although the eerie site displays signs of neglect with chunks of ceiling beginning to collapse, the host of vintage vehicles appear to be in pristine condition.

Beneath a thick layer of dust, a classic Alfa-Romeo, with less than 10,000 miles on the clock, looks like it could be revived to its former glory.

The car, like many of its neighbours in this abandoned workshop, hasn't been driven in at least forty-five years.

Another iconic motor in the collection is a car that dates back before World War I and is in incredible shape.

The roadster, which is a century old, has a faded black-and-white picture of the original owner on one of its rear seats.

In a different corner, there is an antique Studebaker - a throwback to the early days of "horseless carriages" at the turn of the 20th century.

It comes after an eerie collection of abandoned cars have been left to rust for four decades after families abandoned them during a terrifying conflict.

The vast collection of 400 motors were abandoned in Cyprus when a Turkish invasion claimed over a third of the island in 1974.

It's not the only resting place of dozens of abandoned motors, as a Youtuber discovered a graveyard of hidden motors in a Japanese rice field.

The site is the resting place of a variety of luxury motors that have been left to rust, and some other vehicles include jet skis.

Meanwhile, a Brit was left shocked after finding a vintage car graveyard abandoned in a forest in the UK.
