Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, yesterday congratulated his Edo State counterpart, Godwin Obaseki, on his 67th birth anniversary.

Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, praised Obaseki for his brilliant and exceptional achievements in Edo.

He remarked that Obaseki had significantly improved governance in the state through innovation, adding that history would be kind to him for his many outstanding contributions and achievements.

Oborevwori said that the governor had shown unwavering patriotism and unceasing commitment to his state and the country and prayed to God for long life, good health, and wisdom to continue to govern his people.

He complimented the governor on his efforts to revitalise education in his state by implementing “EDOBEST” successfully, pointing out that Nigerians and residents of the state are closely following his accomplishments.

“I congratulate you, my dear brother Governor, on your outstanding achievements in the development of your state. I am confident that these will help you conclude your term with great successes and persuade the people of the state to restore the PDP to power in Government House.

“It is noteworthy that you are enhancing educational resources for the Edo people as well as completing your flagship project, EDOBEST.

“I thank you for all of the infrastructure developments and job creation initiatives that have enabled many Edo youngsters to become successful entrepreneurs through grants.

“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I heartily rejoice with my brother governor, an outstanding professional and seasoned administrator, Mr Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, on his 67th birth anniversary.

“It is my prayer and that of the government and people of Delta State that God will continue to bless you with robust health and wisdom to serve God and humanity even as you finish strongly,” Oborevwori said.

Meanwhile, the management and staff of Roseluyi Exceptional Students Academy (RESA) yesterday held a party in honour of Obaseki’s 67th birthday.

Addressing journalists in Benin City, the Founder/Visioner of Roseluyi Exceptional Students Academy (RESA), Mrs. Osarhiemen Isaac-Aluyi, commended Governor Obaseki for his support to the Academy and vulnerable persons in the State.

She also lauded the exemplary leadership of Governor Obaseki which she said has made life meaningful for people including the less privileged and prayed for God to empower him more to record more feats for the special children and the state in general.

“We have declared today in Roseluyi exceptional Academy as Obaseki’s day, we declared it since last year, the other year, and this year, since three years in a role now, we are celebrating, whether is here or not we celebrate him.

“He is one Governor that I have seen who is so passionate about those vulnerable in our society, is been there for us not just RESA, to everyone, so we decided in this school to come today, we leant and do vocational but is Godwin Obaseki’s day just as you see the funders day so is holiday if you come for therapy today is free from outside because is Obaseki’s day in RESA and is going to remain as RESA remains so July first remain his day.

“We want to say thank you Mr. Governor, we love, we pray for you on a daily basis,” she noted.

She further explained that she has experienced military and civilian governors in Edo State but the Obaseki administration is super.
