Music legend, Ebenezer Obey, has narrated his experience dealing with some members of his band.

He speaks in the context of the recent debate over how musicians treat instrumentalists – especially drummers.

According to him, he always gave his artists what he considers his best but some of them do not love to play to the rule.

The biggest headache he had with some, he said, was addiction to alcohol.

In a video interview, Obey, popularly called Baba Miliki, says

In the case some also prone to smoking hemp.

He, however, says his efforts to stop the latter was more fruitful than the firs.

“It is easier to stop those taking alcohol than those smoking hemp.”

Obey particularly speaks on one of his most popular guys, Mutiu, alongside others that include Gabriel.

He says at a point he bought a Volkswagen each for his band members and later upgraded it to Datsun 120 Y, which he got through the dealership that the late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alhaji Arisekola Alao, gave his (Obey’s) wife, the late Juliana Obey.
