WOOD Co., Ohio (WTVG) - One person was killed and four people were hospitalized in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 Friday evening.

According to officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), troopers were sent to the area of I-80 near I-280 around 6:30 p.m. Friday for a serious crash. When troopers arrived on the scene, they determined the crash involved two personal vehicles and one commercial vehicle.

One person was killed in the crash. Two more people were flown to a nearby hospital with serious injuries and two more were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals.

The road is partially closed and the crash is under investigation.
