Alert: Heat Advisory for Southeast Georgia with Scattered Thunderstorms

SUNDAY FORECAST: Sunday afternoon temperatures will peak into the upper 80s and low 90s with the feels like temperatures in the triple digits for most of Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. Skies will remain partly cloudy with more development along with isolated storm development. Wind will remain calm coming from the south. However in SE Georgia winds will gusts around 20 miles per hour during storm development. Rain moves out by 10 pm. Evening temperatures will drop into the 70s. You will get a break from the rain overnight but it will then return Monday afternoon.

HEAT ADVISORY: Georgia: Ware, Camden and Charlton counties until 6 PM

This week heat advisories, triple digit heat and isolated storms are possible for most of the work week through the holiday.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: Hurricane Beryl has become an extreme dangerous storm in a short period of time due to rapid intensification. It is currently approaching the windward islands as a category four storm with sustained winds of 130 miles per hour.

The center of Beryl is expected to move across the Windward Islands Monday morning and across the southeastern and central Caribbean Sea late Monday through Wednesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 130 mph (215 km/h) with higher gusts. Dangerous winds, six to nine feet storm surge above average tide and several inches of rain are expected across Barbados and the Windward Islands through Monday. This will be a life threatening storm.
