The event, held on June 19, 2024, at the Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, provided an opportunity for the NDA community and invited guests to show their appreciation and support for these valiant soldiers.

The Special Guest of Honor, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, praised the soldiers as heroes who have contributed immensely to the nation’s stability.

He encouraged the wounded troops to remain steadfast, assuring them of the country’s commitment to supporting them in the fight against insurgencies and other security threats.

In his opening remarks, the NDA Commandant, Major General JO Ochai, described the soldiers as heroes who have made selfless sacrifices for Nigeria’s defense, peace, and unity.

He reaffirmed the military’s commitment to the welfare and recovery of the wounded personnel, stating that they are receiving the best possible medical care.

The commandant added that the event was organized to uplift the spirits of these heroes and provide them with an opportunity to interact with military and civilian leaders. The dinner featured cultural performances and the distribution of relief materials to the wounded soldiers.
