A real estate company, Afriland Properties, has unveiled 13 luxury apartments, comprising 2-bedroom, 3-bedrooms, and a 4-bedroom penthouse in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.

In a statement by the company, it was stated that the apartments tagged “The Residences” were built to increase the quality standard of housing in the country.

The Chairman of the firm’s board of directors, Emmanuel Nnorom, lamented the increasing housing gaps in the country.

He said, “Our research has identified significant housing gaps in the country, with many individuals seeking comfortable and secure living spaces. Despite economic challenges, we recognise that shelter is a fundamental human need, alongside food and clothing. We acknowledge that the economy may be unfavourable, but this does not deter us from addressing the basic human requirement for shelter.

“To address this need, we are introducing affordable housing options in our future projects, catering to lower-income individuals who desire modest homes that provide a sense of security and dignity. Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to decent shelter, regardless of their economic status.

“By doing so, we aim to contribute to bridging the housing gap and providing a fundamental human necessity.”

Nnorom noted that the company’s goal was to provide exceptional value without compromising on affordability.

“At Afriland, we believe quality should not be exclusive to a select few. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects, homes, and developments that cater to diverse needs and budgets. Whether it is a luxury residence or an affordable housing unit, we ensure that every project meets our high standards of quality.

“Our goal is to provide exceptional value without compromising on affordability, so our customers can enjoy superior quality without breaking the bank.

“Our projects cater to diverse segments, including luxury and affordable housing options. We aim to provide quality homes for all, ensuring that our developments are not only aesthetically pleasing but also structurally sound and reasonably priced. Our recent project in Ikeja and upcoming initiatives in other locations demonstrate our commitment to accessible housing.”

According to the Afriland boss, the firm’s current project in Ikoyi offers high-end options, its future developments will include mass housing projects that cater to lower-income individuals, providing them with affordable and decent living spaces.

“We believe quality housing is a right, not a privilege, and Afriland is dedicated to delivering exceptional projects that meet the needs of various demographics,” he added.
