The Office' Toby and Michael

Dunder Mifflin Paper Company gets a Pixar-style makeover in new AI-generated artwork for The Office. From "World's Best Boss" Michael Scott to his arch-nemesis, human resources employee Toby Flenderson, most everyone that's a part of the ensemble cast is featured.

The art was shared on Instagram by the_ai_dreams. Including the caption "The Office as an animated movie," the post includes Pixar-style versions of Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson), Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer), Michael Scott (Steve Carell), Angela Martin (Angela Kinsey), Jim Halpert (John Krasinski), Phyllis Vance (Phyllis Smith), Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein), Stanley Hudson (Leslie David Baker), Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling), and Oscar Martinez (Oscar Nunez). Of course, fans will notice some notable absences, including Andy Bernard (Ed Helms), Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak), and Erin Hannon (Ellie Kemper).

The actor does not plan to reprise his role as Dunder Mifflin Paper Company manager Michael Scott in the new series.

The artwork was crafted at a time when the world of The Office is set to expand. Progress is moving ahead on a sequel series that comes from Greg Daniels, the creator of the American version of The Office, alongside Michael Koman, the co-creator of Nathan for You. Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore will be part of the ensemble cast of the new series, called The Paper. It follows the reporters of a declining midwestern newspaper, introducing an all-new cast of characters, but as it's set in the same world as the previous series, special appearances from fan favorites are possible.

The Sequel Series Will Be Leaving Scranton

"I am sad that they're leaving Scranton," Dwight actor Rainn Wilson said about the new series, per CinemaBlend. "I understand that, why they're leaving Scranton, but I kind of feel like there should be like seven different office spinoffs kind of like Law & Order. Like there's Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and there should be all of these workplace documentaries going on, but they should all be in the Scranton Wilkes Bar, Lackawanna County, greater Metropolitan area."

On a possible cameo from Dwight, he added,"...With Greg Daniels at the helm, he's always gonna be looking out for the best interest. So if he had an idea [for a cameo], I mean, I don't think many of us could go back to his regulars at this point. But, to pop in, make sure the office is running right. That might happen. I don't know."

While fans wait for the new series to be developed, they can revisit all episodes of The Officestreaming on Peacock.
