Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has hailed the launch of the Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflicts in Tudun Biri village, saying it marks a new beginning for the community.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Governor Uba Sani expressed his delight at the progress made so far, noting that the scheme is a clear demonstration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to wiping away the tears of the Tudun Biri people.

He also commended the special guest of honor for the event, Vice President Kashim Shettima for facilitating the strategic meetings that fine-tuned the Implementation Plan for the Resettlement Scheme, and appreciated the contributions of individuals and organizations that donated funds to support the victims of the conflict.

Governor Uba Sani also announced that the state government has allocated lands for the construction of the resettlement communities in Igabi, Ikara, Giwa, and Kauru LGAs, and is working closely with Federal Security Forces to restore peace and stability to troubled communities.

He appealed to those who made pledges to redeem them, saying, “Mr. President and the Vice President have done their part. We urge others to follow suit.”

The Governor thanked the Committee led by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, for their commitment and thoroughness in disbursing over N275 million to support victims and families.

He also acknowledged the support of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) in perfecting the Land Title Documents for the resettlement communities.

Governor Uba Sani’s speech was met with applause and cheers from the crowd, as the people of Tudun Biri celebrated the launch of the Resettlement Scheme, marking a new chapter in their lives.
