Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, National Chairman of the Zenith Labour Party, claims that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, will run against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Addressing the media, Chief Nwanyanwu noted that Tinubu has no business with Wike after rewarding him for allegedly manipulating the election on his behalf in Rivers State.

Recall that Wike, who was the outgoing Governor of Rivers State, was accused of stealing the election to favour President Tinubu.

He warned Tinubu to be wary of Wike as he believes, the FCT Minister has plans to contest the presidential election in 2027.

He said, “The president has no business with Wike. You have given him a job, you have rewarded him for the manipulation he did in Rivers. We’ve let it go, but he should not put fire in Rivers that will affect your office as President. If the problem is about 2027, the person you should do business with is Fubara. He’s the man in the seat. You are Mr President, you have been there for eight years. You are the most experience politician to become President. So, you should understand it more than I do.

If you don’t know, Wike will contest against you, President Tinubu in 2027. Forget about all that he is doing, yes he has done well, he will run against you. He will run for President. He will leave that office in 2025, early 2026, to prepare for his presidency.

I have on record, 26 speeches made by Wike which showed commitment. He has failed in all. So, your own President Tinubu will be ‘moimoi’ case. That will be another regret he will tell Nigerians. Wike will run against you in 2027.”
