Chelsea fans have ripped into Nicolas Jackson for his wasteful performance against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday (20 April).

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were on top for the majority of their Wembley clash against City but suffered a 1-0 defeat and crashed out of the tournament after failing to capitalise on their chances.

The Londoners ended the match with five shots on target – more than City – but failed to find the back of the net.

Nicolas Jackson, in particular, was presented with a number of clear-cut chances and ended the match having missed three big opportunities.

The 22-year-old has scored 13 goals across all competitions for the Blues this season but he wasted multiple chances in front of goal at Wembley.

Chelsea fans on social media slaughtered the Senegalese striker for his poor decision-making and “terrible” performance.

Chelsea now find themselves out of the FA Cup, with City set to take on either Manchester United or Coventry City in next month’s showpiece.

Pep Guardiola’s side will discover their opponents on Sunday (21 April) when the second semi-final takes place at Wembley.

Chelsea will now turn their attention back to the Premier League with a trip to title-chasing Arsenal on Tuesday evening (23 April).
