Judiciary needs to be left to function  unhindered- CJN Ariwoola

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Olukayode  Ariwoola The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Olukayode  Ariwoola  has requested that  the judiciary  be left to function unhindered.
Justice Ariwoola made this request on Wednesday in Abuja at the groundbreaking ceremony of the.Abuja Division of the Appeal Court Complex at Dakibiyu, Abuja.

He said, ”  All the judiciary needs, is to be left to function to perform its role unhindered as much as possible.”
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, also  stated that once the judiciary is taken care, you have also taken care of justice. If you cry for peace anywhere in the world without justice , there can be no peace.

Justice Ariwoola further guaranteed, “We guarantee peace, we promise to ensure that peace is given to whoever is due so that we can all enjoy peace. Justice is important and imperative. We promise we will always give justice.”

He appreciated the  groundbreaking and construction of the Abuja Appeal Court Complex, adding that the Court in Abuja will contain 10 courtrooms and other offices in a five- storey building.

He also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu  for supporting the judiciary and  for the promises.

“We shall not disappoint, we shall not let you down.”Justice Ariwoola however appreciated the FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike  and his team for his unwavering support and vision in realizing the building project.

“Your leadership and dedication have been instrumental in advancing our judicial infrastructure.”‘As we look forward to the completion of the Appeal Court complex in Abuja, let us remain steadfast in our commitment to justice, fairness, and the rule of law.”

“We are deeply grateful to the Honorable Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike and the management staff of the Federal Capital Development Authority for their unwavering support and vision in realizing this project.”

Meanwhile, Barr. Wike disclosed that  the Abuja Appeal Court Complex project which is expected to take two years of construction  will cost  N, 37 billion but Mr. President has provided N 30 billion.

The Minister said that he will not be associated  with any project that will take 2 years. I will not be part of that, this is one project that I have seen that is well covered in the budget, this project will cost us 37, billion Naira but in the budget Mr. President has provided 30, billion Naira, the minister disclosed.
